RE-IMAGINING HEALING EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY HEALING SERIES

[This workshop series has ended. Please use the contact form if you are interested in participating in future workshops or if you are interested in helping organize or facilitate it].

This is a 8-month community support and healing series for graduate students of color/early career professionals of color in the allied mental health fields who are looking to expand their understanding of healing, beyond Western psychological theories.

Participants will have access to teachings from practitioners who practice different traditional medicine (e.g. mindfulness and meditation, energy healing, somatic movement, evolutionary astrology, plant and herbal medicine, and more). The program will also include a monthly support group for folks to (a) set intentions for their decolonizing mental health practice, (b) set intentions for their self-and-other healing endeavors, (c) integrate teachings/discussions, and (d) build community with one another. There will be a gathering at the end of the 8-month series (tbd, in-person/virtual).

 APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2022

BLUEBIRDS ($20 per month): Access to first four monthly introductory teachings provided by various practitioners who practice from different modalities and traditions. Teachings are recorded so that participants can watch them whenever it is convenient for their schedules.

KOELS ($35 per month): Access to more in-depth monthly teachings provided by various healing practitioners who practice from different modalities and traditions. These teachings will include discussions about different healing traditions, ways to incorporate into therapy practice, and deeper insight about decolonizing mental health. Teachings are recorded so that participants can watch them whenever it is convenient for their schedules.

PEACOCKS ($75 per month): Access to in-depth monthly teachings + monthly live community support group. Participants will engage with one another in a monthly conversation space to learn how to integrate teachings into their practice, delve deeper into their own intentions of self-and community healing, and build community with one another. The monthly conversation space will take place either the third or fourth week of the month (1.5-2 hours). The monthly support space may also include a live workshop depending on the group.
